DILG Dose Rolls Out 2024 GEMS for SK
On February 27, 2024, the DILG Regional Office XII’s Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) held an orientation on guidelines and tools for the 2024 Governance Exemplars for Meaningful Service for the Sangguniang Kabataan (GEMS for SK). Attendees included members of the SK Monitoring and Evaluation Teams (MET) from all 53 local government units in SOCCSKSARGEN, established under DILG Regional Memorandum Circular No. 2023-08.
Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero’s opening message, delivered by LGOO VI Ian Jon S. Clemente, urged MET members to objectively assess the Sangguniang Kabataan’s performance to establish a clear baseline, allowing for appropriate learning activities to enhance their effectiveness. The program aims to evaluate the Sangguniang Kabataan and Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan of SOCCSKSARGEN in organizational effectiveness, development planning, financial administration, and leadership and innovation.
