CSO ACADEMY
THE FIRST IN THE PHILIPPINES.
The CSO Academy was established as recognition of the invaluable and indispensable roles of CSOs in nation-building. It intends to help accredited CSOs in Rehiyon Dose to sharpen the various facets of their capacities. This shall empower them to render a more meaningful representation and participation in local governance, especially as members of various Local Special Bodies.
OBJECTIVE MECHANISM
To produce local CSO leaders who will lead in the promotion of improving their respective internal governance and will serve as active partners of LGUs in pursuing genuine local autonomy and local governance.
REQUIREMENTS
FOR ORGANIZATION
- Registration with SEC or other recognized government agencies (DOLE, CDA, etc)
- Accreditation by the Provincial Local Government Unit
- Membership to the Local Special Bodies is a plus
- Financial Statement/Report for the past 2 years
- List of programs/projects implemented in the province for the past 2 years
FOR APPLICANT
- Letter of intent duly endorsed by the Organization (ED/Manager/Board of Trustee)
- Letter of Endorsement from the Provincial Local Government Unit concerned
- Official/Alternate Representative to the LSB
- Ideally, between 30-50 years old
- Technologically adept
- Commitment to complete the 1-year program
- Endorsement from respective organization through a board resolution
- Cash Counterpart of Php 10,000.00
